Alex Patel

I am a Senior Marketing Manager with marketing responsibilities for the North & West Europe Sales Team. I deliver all marketing activity needed to support the sales team to hit their targets. I also have manager and team leader responsibilities which means getting involved in company and team projects to improve systems and processes that impact our roles. I also support our wider regional marketing team to ensure we are all aligned and work as a team. 

Emerald is a great company to work for which is the reason I am still here after starting back in 2012. From giving colleagues the tools to deal with issues like racism, to publishing research that makes an impact in the world, to the supportive and caring people that work here, I feel happy and motivated to do the job that I do. Also, not to forget about the flexible ways of working that allows everyone to have a great work life balance.  

I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008 where I studied Business, with Marketing being a focus and passion by my final year. I did a placement year working at an Engineering firm within a marketing role which I enjoyed and made the decision that this is what I wanted to carry on doing when I graduated. I found the variety of the role enjoyable and that it suited my skillset (data, analysis, problem solving, creativity all in one role). I had a couple of roles at different companies before I found Emerald and have progressed since then with promotions and being given different opportunities and responsibilities. I have found Emerald to be a place where I can continually grow, learn and develop.
